We are excited to add Karrie Booth to our staff in 2011. She has LOTS of passion and ideas when it comes to young children. She and her husband attend the Assembly of God in Woodward and their two daughters both attend WCA.

Melissa Johnson - K3 Preschool Teacher

Our K3 Pre-school teacher is Mrs. Johnson. Having spent many years teaching young children, Mrs. Johnson has been a welcome addition to our staff. She is married to Aaron, who is a pastor and and owns Blue Ridge Contractors.. Her oldest son Chris is a WCA graduate and her youngest daughter Callie, is a senior this year. Welcome to the school staff Mrs. Johnson!

Debi Denney - Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Denney has served WCA in the past as a substitute teacher and has now joined us full time as our kindergarten teacher.  Her love for children has been evident since she first stepped foot in the school. She and her husband, Mike have 4 grandchildren that attend WCA. What a blessing to have Mrs. Denney on our staff!

Susie Waddel - 1st & 2nd Grade Teacher

Mrs. Waddel has been teaching at Woodward Christian Academy for eleven years.  She is married to Bo and has three children.  Terra and Hollee are married and Jimmie is a graduate of WHS. Susie teaches 1st & 2nd Grade Sunday School at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.  She is a gifted teacher and God uses her greatly to minister to the children in her class as well as to their families.

Cayla Deviney - Monitor

Cayla is a graduate of WCA and has been such a blessing to WCA since she returned in 2009! Ms. Deviney serves as our JLC and MLC monitor. In addition to being our monitor, she is always willing to run errands, cover a class until a substitute arrives or whatever task we might need her to do. Very thankful for the role that Ms. Deviney has accepted at WCA!

Marilyn Evans - Junior Learning Center Supervisor

Mrs. Evans started at WCA in 1998 teaching K-4.  She has held a number of position and is now the Junior Learning Center Supervisor.  She and her husband, Ed, are the parents of 4 grown sons and are blessed to be grandparents to many!  Mrs. Evans is on the leadership team for Women's Ministry at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and she and Ed direct the church's "Team Kid" program.  She is a wonderful asset to our school and has helped shape the lives of many children in our area.

Robert Dwinelle - Middle Learning Center Supervisor

Mr Dwinelle joined our staff in 2009 as a monitor. Last year he served as the Junior Learning Center supervisor.  We are excited to have him moving to the Middle Learning Center this fall!

What a blessing to have a godly man with a servant's heart teaching our youngsters.  Mr. Dwinelle is a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church where he works with children and youth.  Mr. Dwinelle can also frequently be found serving the ill, grieving, homebound, or widowed of our community.  He is married to Jeri and has one grown son in California and a school age step-son in the home. 

Brandi McCaskill - Upper Learning Center Supervisor

We were very excited to have Brandi McCaskill join WCA's staff this year.  Brandi and her husband, C.J. have 2 children, and both of them attend WCA. The McCaskills are members at New Covenant Church.

Carol Bilyeu - Upper Learning Center Supervisor

Mrs. Bilyeu will be joining our staff this year as the ULC supervisor. We are excited to have her working us this year. Her and her husband Paul have already been a big help to the school! Mrs. Bilyeu has a love for kids and a love for Christian education and will be a wonderful addition to our staff!

Our P.E. teacher this year is Jordan Lauffer!  He is the youth pastor at 1st Baptist in Laverne, OK. Jordan is married to his high school sweetheart, Carly and they have three children. WCA appreciates the time, talent, and effort that he devotes to our students.

Mrs. Hosier has served at WCA for several years, filling such roles as librarian, secretary, and substitute teacher.  Her desire to serve the Lord and her flexibility in that service are definitely put to good use at the school!  She is married to Norman and her daughter, Natalie, attends WCA. 

Shawna Porter - Secretary

We are excited to have Mrs. Porter join our staff as the WCA secretary. Mrs. Porter used to volunteer in the office and has now joined our staff full time. She and her husband David have 3 children, all of whom are enrolled at WCA.

Emma Dirks - Principal

Mrs. Dirks joined the school as principal in 2005.  However, her experience with WCA started in 1997 when she enrolled her oldest child in the K-4 program.  Mrs. Dirks taught K-4 during the 97/98 school year and her class included her oldest child (who is a 2011 graduate of WCA).  Now all but the youngest Dirks child attend the academy!  Mrs. Dirks is married to Pastor Jason Dirks of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and is the mother of 5.

Michael Wilcox - Headmaster

Michael joins our staff this year as the headmaster! We are excited to have Michael to lead WCA into our exciting future. Michael and his wife Angela have three kids. Michael, with his experience and knowledge, is a great addition to the WCA staff!
